Our Chiropractors

Dr. Don Wallace, DC, ART, CKTP. Dr. Wallace is an engineer, chiropractor, and golf enthusiast. He has been a resident of Nesconset since 1983, and a practicing chiropractor since 1996. His degree in Mechanical Engineering is from Villanova University and his MBA from Long Island University. For 13 years, he worked as an Engineer in the aerospace industry, then he pursued his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from New York Chiropractic College. Always seeking to expand his education, Dr. Wallace has certifications in several areas including Spinal Rehabilitation, EMG/NCV Electro-Diagnostic Testing, Active Release Technique (ART), Functional Movement Systems (FMS), and is Certified Kinesio Taping Provider (CKTP). Combining his engineering and chiropractic degrees, he patented a golf exercise and training product, Greenstick Golf. This product strengthens weak muscles and ensures an on-plane swing. He is pleased to serve Smithtown, Nesconset, Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, St. James, and Stonybrook. 

Dr. Gerald J. Smith, DC, ART, CKTP. Dr. Smith holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta, and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from New York Chiropractic College. He has practiced in Nesconset for over 20 years. Dr. Smith is an Active Release Technique (ART) Certified Practitioner in Suffolk County. ART is the soft tissue treatment sought out by Olympic and professional athletes. To further his ability to treat auto accident injuries, Dr. Smith studied at the San Diego Spine Research Institute, achieving Certification in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Whiplash and Associated Disorders as well as Certification as an Auto Accident Reconstructionist. With over 300 hours of post-graduate Neurology under his belt, Dr. Smith completed a Fellowship in Neurology through New York Chiropractic College, achieving Board Eligibility with the American Chiropractic Academy of Neurology and the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology. In 2011, Dr. Smith garnered certification in Kinesio Taping, which is commonly used to help Olympic and professional athletes. As an athlete himself, Dr. Smith has played volleyball at the Empire State Games, competed in a two-man beach volleyball tournament, and has participated in numerous triathlon and cycling events. His experience as an athlete helps him develop treatment plans to keep professionals and amateurs on the playing field.

Chris Grabowski, PT. Chris is a Board Certified Clinical Sports Rehabilitation Specialist, a Certified Athletic Trainer with the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Chris has worked extensively with athletes and post-surgical patients, and is presently working towards the McKenzie Certified Spine Specialty Distinction.
